Culinary workshops

On August 11-12, 2021, two-day culinary workshops were organized in Ustrzyki Dolne. The workshop was led by Mrs. Bożena Bałkota – passionate about cooking and regional cuisine, co-owner of the private Museum of Milling and Village in Ustrzyki Dolne. During the workshops, participants prepared traditional dishes of the region’s cuisine. On the first day of the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to cook kisełkas called “Carpathian sour soup” and hryczanyki, i.e. minced cutlets with buckwheat groats. The second day of the workshop was devoted to baking proziaki and cabbage soup and preparing a dinner dish consisting of Lemko klepaks, i.e. dumplings prepared from oat flakes and milk with the addition of wheat or oat flour. The workshop ended with a visit to the Museum of Milling and the Village.
