Icon writing workshop

On October 28-29, 2021, two-day icon writing workshops were organized at the Folk Architecture Museum in Sanok. The workshop was led by Jadwiga Denisiuk, who has been working in the art of icon writing for over 30 years. During the workshops, participants learned the rules of creating icons characteristic of the region and the materials necessary for their implementation. On the first day of the workshop, the host presented the history of the icon and introduced the participants to the painting technique. During the second day, there were classes on the preparation of yolk binder, paint preparation and preliminary painting of the gilded icon.
